SMHI warns that the heat could pose an increased risk of health problems for at-risk groups if the hot weather persists for several days.

There is high pressure and warmer air moving in. It is not impossible that the temperature will reach 30 degrees in several places, says Linus Falk, meteorologist at SMHI.

This primarily applies to Wednesday or Thursday, when the warm weather is expected to peak. Even along the central Norrland coast, it could be 26-33 degrees.

Whether there will be tropical nights, when the temperature does not fall below 20 degrees, is too early to say.

Despite the heatwave in June, the temperatures expected for July are not normal.

It may not stand out, but it's not normal, says Falk.
