This is due to a precipitation area moving in from the west that is expected to take the form of rain and to fall on cold road surfaces during early Tuesday morning. For southern Halland and western Skåne, the warning applies from 04:00 to 12:00 on Tuesday. In northern Halland and the Gothenburg area, the warning is between 12:00 and 18:00.
SMHI urges road users to drive carefully and adjust their speed.
The authority also warns of delays or cancellations in public transport.
Also on Wednesday, SMHI has issued a yellow warning, which applies to southern Sweden from Skåne and Blekinge, north to Halland and the Gothenburg region.
