SMHI has issued an orange warning for snowfall and strong winds in southeastern Skåne from Thursday evening until Friday lunchtime.

The authority warns that snowfall of increasing intensity - while it is expected to be "really windy" - could lead to the formation of snow drifts and traffic problems.

"It can be very difficult to get around in traffic due to snow on the roads, traffic accidents or stationary vehicles. Even important social functions such as snow removal and rescue services may have difficulty getting around," SMHI said on its website.

There is also a yellow warning for snowfall combined with wind in southern and central Skåne during the same time period.
