The export of Apple's iPhone and other mobile devices fell by 72 percent to a value just over 700 million dollars, equivalent to approximately 6.7 billion kronor.
The export of smartphones to the USA decreased significantly more than the export of other goods to the country, which fell by 21 percent, according to new customs statistics.
The new statistics are a sign of how the Trump administration's increased tariffs affect the trade chains for electronics and steer the goods towards other markets.
Last year, the three largest import goods from China to the USA were smartphones, laptops and lithium-ion batteries.
