This applies as long as Ukraine does not reopen the Druzhba pipeline, which supplies Russian oil to Slovakia and Hungary.
"From today, if the Ukrainian side turns to Slovakia with a request for help in stabilizing the Ukrainian energy network, such help will not be provided," Fico said in a video on Facebook.
According to Ukrainian authorities, the pipeline was damaged in a Russian attack on January 27. Fico, who is now following through on an earlier threat to stop emergency electricity supplies, claims that Ukraine has delayed the repair of the pipeline.
