Among other things, two single-vehicle accidents occurred within a couple of minutes on E18 between Arboga and Köping, the police write on their website. Outside Osby, a bus and a car collided. Another car veered off the road in Mark's municipality.

A woman died after a head-on collision outside Enköping and two people were taken to hospital with serious injuries after a single-vehicle accident in Sandviken's municipality.

According to the Swedish Transport Administration's road map, there is a risk of difficult road conditions in large parts of the country during the evening. Around Värnamo, Västerås, and west of Skellefteå, difficult road conditions are also expected.

The police in Västra Götaland, Västmanland, Uppsala, and Gävleborg have all warned of slippery roads and urged drivers to take it easy on the roads.

In large parts of Västmanland, Uppsala, and Gävleborg counties, there appears to be very slippery road conditions. There is snow-mixed rain and freezing temperatures, says Magnus Jansson Klarin, press spokesperson for the police in Region Mitt.
