The 37-year-old has herself said that the active career is over, but has been teased to continue by her husband Nils Jakob Hoff over the past year.
Now, however, that discussion is probably over. On Instagram, Johaug posts a picture where she is holding her stomach while standing on a treadmill.
”Tough intervals and heavy breathing, but it feels so good!! We are looking forward to expanding the flock at the beginning of January”, writes Johaug.
Johaug and Hoff are already parents to a daughter, who was born in 2023 on Norway's National Day, May 17.
Johaug won 4 Olympic Games gold medals, 14 World Championship gold medals and an additional 11 championship medals during her skiing career.
In May, she announced that there will not be a push for the Olympic Games in Italy next year.
”I feel a great need to be with my family”, she wrote on Instagram at the time.
