It will not be a Swedish medal record at the World Championship in Trondheim, says national team manager Anders Byström.

We have a completely different opposition now, one must be honest about that. So we have no such expectations, but on the other hand, we know that in the best of worlds, we have a medal chance every day, really, says Byström.

The World Championship in Planica two years ago was the best Swedish championship of all time, with four gold medals and a total of twelve medals. Eleven of the blue and yellow podium places came on the women's side, and that's where the biggest medal hopes are also this time. But for example, Therese Johaug's comeback makes the competition even tougher.

But we are also in a different position on the men's side where William Poromaa and Edvin Anger have won this year. So we have more opportunities there now than before, even though the opposition is extremely tough, says Byström.
