In September last year the 29-year-old goalkeeper was forced to have surgery that kept him out of action until February this year. He then returned and was a key player when Skellefteå won the Swedish Championship gold medal in the spring.
Now Linus Söderström has been forced to have surgery again, with the plan being that he will be back in four months.
"By having the procedure done immediately after the end of the season, Linus will have the best conditions to return as quickly and as strongly as possible. Rehabilitation has already begun and the prognosis is good based on the experiences from the previous procedure," says Karin Granberg, the doctor in charge, in a press release.
