Andreas Johnson was reported to the Swedish Ice Hockey Association's disciplinary committee for the tackle in the second period of Tuesday's quarterfinal. The decision came the following day. Johnson was also fined 25,000 kronor.
Andreas Johnson "comes with speed and tackles Johansson in the back, causing Johansson to be thrown into the goal cage with force. This tackle poses a significant risk of injury and Johansson has no opportunity to defend himself", writes SHL on its website.
Skellefteå won the match at their home ice with 4–2 and leads the quarterfinal series 2–1 in matches. The teams meet again in Västerbotten on Thursday and then in Karlstad on Saturday.
