Swedish Championship gold medalist Gustaf Lindvall is forced to put the goalkeeping club on the shelf.

The 34-year-old Skellefteå goalkeeper has been injured for a long time and has not played in the SHL this fall. Gustaf Lindvall tells Norran that it is a hip injury.

"Unfortunately, I have reached a point where it can't go any further. I have always given everything, and when my body stops and there is nothing more to do, then I have to listen and respect it," Gustaf Lindvall tells the club's website.

Lindvall played more than 300 games for Skellefteå and was part of the Swedish Championship team that won last year. He was named SHL Goalie of the Year for the 2019-20 season. He also played for Tre Kronor.
