Norwegian "Sentimental Value", directed by Joachim Trier, won the award for best international feature film at the Oscars in March.
There are more Swedish connections among the nominated films. In the Danish film "Beginnings", David Dencik plays one of the main roles, and in the Icelandic film "The Love That Remains" by Hlynur Pálmason, Sverrir Gudnason has a major role.
The other nominees are Finland's entry "A light that never goes out" and the Faroe Islands' "Birita".
The winner will be announced on October 20 and the prize money is 300,000 Danish kroner.
