When former US President Barack Obama lists the best films of the year, "Sentimental Value" starring Stellan Skarsgård is among the selected ones, according to NME.

Obama has made it an annual tradition to publish his annual best-of lists of songs, books and films at the turn of the year.

Olivia Dean's "Man I Need", Lady Gaga's "Abracadabra" and Rosalia's "Sexo, Violencia y llantas" are on the song list. Among the book recommendations are Zadie Smith's latest essay book "Dead and Alive", Ian McEwan's "What We Can Know" and wife Michelle Obama's "The Look" - with the addition "obviously I'm a loser".

Joachim Trier's Oscar-nominated film "Sentimental Value" with Stellan Skarsgård in one of the leading roles, competes with the former president with "One battle after another", "Sinners" and "Hamnet".
