Skanska reports higher profit as activity picks up in the Nordics

The result was slightly better than expected, according to Bloomberg.

Revenue of 44.6 billion, unchanged from the corresponding quarter last year, was however slightly lower than the average analyst forecast of 45.5 billion.

"The American market is stronger than the European one, but we see increased activity in the Nordics. We have raised the market outlook for Finland and Sweden and expect the improvement in the housing market to continue based on demand in key segments," Skanska writes in its market outlook for construction operations.
