Skanska is to build new freight and express lanes on the Interstate 15 motorway in Ontario, California, the construction company writes in a press release.
In a separate press release, Skanska announces that it will also build a parking garage and carry out other improvement works at Terminal E at Logan Airport in Boston, Massachusetts.
Skanska's share of the order in Ontario is estimated to be worth 3.5 billion kronor.
In total, it involves 17.4 kilometers of new express lanes with facilities for toll booths in both northbound and southbound directions.
The construction start is planned for January 2025 and is expected to be completed in July 2028 according to plan.
The Logan Airport order in Boston is estimated to be worth approximately 4.7 billion kronor.
