Skanska has won a billion-dollar contract in California, the construction group said in a press release.

The bridge railing on the Vincent Thomas Bridge in Los Angeles is to be replaced under a contract worth a total of $534 million. Skanska's share of the contract is worth $320 million, or approximately SEK 2.9 billion.

"The project includes removing and replacing the existing bridge deck, installing new expansion joints and integrating advanced corrosion protection systems. The modernization of the bridge deck structure will increase load capacity, improve safety and reduce the need for long-term maintenance," Skanska said.
