The gates are currently closed. The power supply must be restored before they can reopen. Aftonbladet reports that, according to a person on site, there are long queues outside.
However, the outage does not affect electric fences around the enclosures.
"We have backup generators at Skansen for situations like this to ensure electricity supply for the animals," says Emelie Strömfors, press officer at Skansen.
According to the network company Ellevio's website, the outage is not expected to be resolved until 3:00 p.m.
