The state-owned travel company SJ made an operating profit of SEK 316 million in the fourth quarter of last year. This compares with SEK 146 million in the corresponding quarter a year earlier.

"Mild weather and reliable traffic characterized the last quarter of the year," SJ says in a press release.

For the full year, this means "a historically strong result" of just over one billion. This creates the conditions for investments in the future, according to SJ.

"SJ is making extensive investments of up to SEK 19 billion in rail vehicles," SJ says.

"The digital transformation continues and a crucial milestone was reached in the fourth quarter when all applications were fully migrated to the cloud," the company says.
