A 6-year-old boy has been injured during a tree felling incident outside Haparanda on Tuesday morning, according to the police.
According to Region Norrbotten, the boy is seriously injured and is being cared for in the intensive care unit.
The boy was out cycling when he got the tree on top of him, according to information received by SVT Norrbotten.
A preliminary investigation led by a prosecutor from the national unit for environmental and work environment cases has been initiated.
