The alert about the shipment came on Monday afternoon. According to emergency medical services, it was some kind of powder. Six people were examined by medical personnel on site and then taken to hospital, reports P4 Uppland.
The bomb squad was called and arrived at City Hall just before 6 p.m., according to UNT.
Uppsala Region later stated that those taken to the hospital were feeling well and showed no signs of illness.
In the evening, the police announced that the shipment was deemed harmless.
