It was on October 2 last year that shots were fired at three residences in Farsta and Brandbergen in southern Stockholm during the ongoing wave of violence. No one was physically injured.

The getaway car was identified in Farsta and a chase began. The car was later found crashed and abandoned in the Klaratunneln in central Stockholm.

Through surveillance footage, the police were able to track down one of the people who fled from the car. The arrest led to further arrests of people suspected of involvement in the shootings, as well as in a fourth shooting in Bandhagen in southern Stockholm the night before.

In May, six men and one woman between 17 and 24 years old were prosecuted for the four shootings, which took place within 24 hours. Now, six of them are being sentenced by Södertörn District Court for several attempted murders, serious weapons offenses, serious unlawful threats, as well as instigation and assistance to the same crimes.

The penalties vary between imprisonment for 14 years and closed youth care.
