The alarm came at 5:18 p.m. on Friday.
A car and an excavator collided, and the car is said to have driven into a trailer being pulled by the excavator, says police spokesperson Evelina Olsson.
She says police are still at the scene and the road is closed to traffic.
Everyone in the car was taken to hospital by ambulance, says Olsson.
According to the police, the driver of the excavator is physically unharmed.
The car is being seized for a technical examination. A preliminary investigation into negligence in traffic has been opened to examine the circumstances surrounding the accident, according to the police.
