The national team captain of Tre Kronor, Sam Hallam, is adding to his World Championship team with the defensemen Rasmus Andersson, Calgary, Simon Edvinsson, Detroit, Adam Larsson, Seattle, and Marcus Pettersson, Vancouver.

On the forward side, the San Jose players Alexander Wennberg and William Eklund, as well as Isac Lundeström from Anaheim, are joining, writes Tre Kronor on X.

Goalkeepers Samuel Ersson, Philadelphia, and Arvid Söderblom from Chicago are also coming to the World Championship.

Earlier, the Swedish World Championship team has been reinforced with forwards Mikael Backlund, Calgary, Leo Carlsson, Anaheim, and Mika Zibanejad, New York Rangers.

Arvid Söderblom and Simon Edvinsson have never played in Tre Kronor and will make their national team debuts already before the World Championship in the Betano Hockey Games, which will be a World Championship rehearsal. The tournament is played on May 2–5 in Switzerland.

The Ice Hockey World Championship in Denmark and Sweden begins on May 9. Sweden will play its matches in Stockholm.

Corrected: Correcting the headline and the number of selected NHL players – which is 12.
