Six people were killed and eight were injured in the Egyptian province of Assiut, where a gunman carried out an attack.
The attack took place on Monday at a traffic junction. The perpetrator, who opened fire from a car, was later killed by security forces, the country's interior ministry said.
The motive for the attack has not been determined.
