A man and the two small children were traveling in one car, three people in their 20s in the other. One of the people in their 20s is being treated at Sahlgrenska University Hospital and the condition is said to be stable. For the other three involved, the condition is currently unclear.
All six involved have been taken to hospital, says Magnus Schildt.
The police were alerted to the accident site just before 21:30 on Sunday evening, after a vehicle for unknown reasons had come over in the wrong direction and collided with an oncoming car.
A preliminary investigation has been initiated regarding gross drunk driving, gross negligence in traffic and causing bodily harm. Both cars have been seized for technical examination.
