An employee of a freight car company found the bodies at a rail yard on the U.S.-Mexico border.
Police told CNN the circumstances surrounding the deaths are unclear, and that an investigation has been launched. The temperature in the area where the freight car was located on Sunday was measured at over 30 degrees.
In 2023, two migrants died after being trapped on a train in Texas. The year before, 53 migrants died after being abandoned in a hot truck.
