Six people have been arrested following the murder of a gang leader in Linköping last summer, reports P4 Östergötland in Sveriges Radio. The 40-year-old man was shot dead in the Berga district on August 13.
Prosecutor Magdalena Tesfai states that the detention period will likely be extended several times before charges can be brought, which is expected to happen for the first time in March next year.
According to the police, the murder victim was a leading gang criminal in the so-called Berga network.
