Last year's Christmas host Mark Levengood stepped through the door - followed by a long line of previous Christmas hosts who gathered to pay tribute to Malmkvist and her efforts as a Christmas host at the age of almost 89.
"We thought this could be a fun surprise for Siw, and also for the viewers, but we perhaps didn't think that so many would show up. The response was overwhelming when we called around; we even had to rebuild the studio at the last minute," says producer Sofi Svahn in a press release.
A total of 20 former Christmas hosts participated in the tribute, singing, speaking and handing out gifts. Among them were Babben Larsson, Lars Lerin and David Batra.
