The song is a remake of "Min jord," which Siw Malmkvist recorded in 1976 as a Swedish version of a French chanson. The lyrics are about love of nature and appeal to people to protect it.
"When I first sang it 50 years ago, I could hardly have imagined that it would feel so relevant again. Now we sing it for her and for all children's future," says Siw Malmkvist in a press release.
During Sunday's climate demonstration in Stockholm, Siw Malmkvist and Dahlia will perform the song live at Gustav Adolfs Torg.
The new recording will be released on September 11.
