Hammarby in the 2018 season and Malmö FF in 2023 are the only teams that have started the Swedish football league as well in the recent past.

To find something that trumps Sirius' 25 points in nine games, we have to go back to 1981 when Öster won its opening ten games, according to a previous compilation by Dagens Nyheter.

We do what we believe in and do it fully. We have continuity in it, and then good things can come out of it. We are a very prosperous group, says Sirius team captain Henrik Rönnlöf Castegren, back after a two-match suspension, to TV4 Play

Against Gais, Sirius claimed three points despite the league leaders (eight points clear of second-place Hammarby) having to play the final quarter with a decimated squad after Mohamed Souma was sent off.

Isak Bjerkebo scored 1-0 in the sixth minute - the 23-year-old's ninth goal of the season - before Rasmus Niklasson Petrovic equalized ten minutes later.

Sirius' winning goal came just before halftime when Victor Ekström pulled off a neat trick. On a cross, he flicked the ball over himself and a defender and made it 2–1.
