Four straight wins. Then a strong comeback, most recently against Häcken, to a draw.

Surely newcomer Kalmar would be a mouthful for Sirius at home on a sunny Studenternas in Uppsala?

The answer was no.

Nightmare half-time

Kalmar held on well and took the lead after just under 40 minutes of play. 19-year-old Charlie Rosenqvist kept his head up and headed in to give Kalmar the lead. The young talent's third goal in as many games.

Rony Jansson then made it 2-0 for the guests just before halftime.

Sirius reduced the deficit midway through the second half through Victor Svensson, creating some nervousness. Would the team's unbeaten streak last?

New Bjerkebo goal

That was the case. With fifteen minutes left to play, the league's top scorer Isak Bjerkebo had the chance from the penalty spot. A chance he converted. 2–2, Bjerkebo's sixth goal of the season, and another sign of Sirius' refusal to lose in this year's Swedish championship.

But Sirius wasn't done there. Substitute Odera Adindu became the match hero when he rushed onto a free kick in added time and completed the turnaround.

"I thank God for the goal. It feels so good. When I get that chance, I just think that I have to score the decisive goal for the team," Adindu tells TV4 Play.

“Must do better”

Coach Andreas Engelmark admits that he was not completely satisfied with his team during parts of the match.

"We put ourselves in a really tough spot, but well done for turning it around, of course."

He develops:

"I wasn't completely happy at half-time, you could say. I don't think we had the right energy and attitude in the first half. We've played a lot of games in a relatively short time, but we're also winning, so there are no excuses. We have to do better."

The Uppsala team is undefeated so far and tops the table with 16 points out of a possible 18. Second place is currently Häcken, who also drew 1-1 away to Degerfors.
