“European Games 2027” has once again started circulating on social media. In a clip that Sirius published in 2017 on the X platform, former Sirius player Elias Andersson can be seen taking the stage together with a group of brave supporters. Everyone sings “European Games 2027! Then I want to be at Studan! European Games 2027!”.
“Actually completely crazy”
Now it looks like they will get to experience Sirius in Europe. The Uppsala team is topping the Allsvenskan in superior style and a lot will have to happen if they are to lose out on a European place.

Aiming for the marathon table
Ramsan comes from bandy and the 2008–2009 season when Sirius made it all the way to the semifinals. The following season, coach Magnus Berglund said that things had gone too fast and that he instead wanted to work long-term - towards a Swedish championship gold medal in 2027.
It started as a joke but now you see it as a carrot. Things are going well for us in bandy too. It would be absolutely crazy if there was a Swedish Championship gold medal in bandy and the European Football Games in 2027. Then you would have to become religious or something, says Hannes Lind-Skogsberg.
So in 17 years, where is Sirius then?
So then we are in 2043, then we might be number one in the Allsvenskan marathon table.
The Allsvenskan gives three European places. It may also be enough to come fourth if the winner of the Swedish Cup has already secured a top spot via the series.
