Hammarby won a highly dramatic series finale 2–0 in Stockholm, but afterwards the focus was on the penalty referee Glenn Nyberg awarded the home team in the first half, which Victor Lind scored.

I think we should all have higher demands on referees, especially in a match like this. From a referee who is supposed to be the best in the country... I can’t find the words, says Henrik Castegren, adding that he spoke to Glenn Nyberg before kick-off and pointed out that there would be crowd pressure on him.

I felt at the time that it was cheap. There are a lot of players in the penalty area, but when I look at it in retrospect, it’s a joke.

“Almost a shit sandwich”

Last weekend against AIK, Sirius received another cheap penalty, something Castegren points out.

I can say this: if this situation had happened in the other penalty area, he would never have blown his whistle. You feel powerless. Looking at these two games, there have been far too many decisions against us; it’s like pissing into the wind.

For him to go out and tell the team that it was a misjudgment... it’s almost a crapshoot to apologize. I don’t give a damn about how the referees actually judge, but I just want them to be consistent.

Bjerkebo: “Sick”

Hammarby’s opening goal came just a few minutes after Isak Bjerkebo scored from a free kick.

It’s really tough. I’ll be upset about that for a long time, says the striker, adding:

It’s easy to complain about the penalty, but in a match like this, it should basically take studs to the knee to call a penalty. Not just someone breathing. It’s sick that he goes in and makes a decision like that.
