The Swedish Football League's league leaders, Sirius, announced on Wednesday that club director Martin Malmberg is leaving the club with immediate effect. According to Sirius, the parties have "jointly agreed that it is the right time for change."
At the same time, Malmberg tells Upsala Nya Tidning (UNT) that he wanted to continue.
"I believe very much in the club's long-term strategy and could have seen myself continuing. At the same time, I respect the board's decision that they want new leadership going forward," he says.
The board does not want to answer questions from journalists, but refers to an article on its website where there are answers to questions asked by the club itself.
