American author Siri Hustvedt has joined protests against U.S. immigration agency ICE.

In a long Instagram post, 70-year-old Hustvedt criticizes President Donald Trump and the federal immigration agency ICE after recent shootings in Minneapolis.

“In Minneapolis, a 45-minute drive from my hometown, ICE is terrorizing the city. While some people are clearly more vulnerable than others - anyone who is black, brown or speaks with an accent - no one is safe,” she writes.

Other well-known people who have raised their voices against ICE include Bruce Springsteen, Billie Eilish, Olivia Wilde, and Swedish singer Zara Larsson.
