Sinner beat Australian Alex de Minaur 7–5, 6–2 in the semifinals. With the victory, the 24-year-old world number two has won 30 consecutive indoor matches, where he has not lost since the final against Novak Djokovic in the ATP Finals two years ago.
The Italian home hope won the ATP Finals last year without dropping a single set – and has continued on the same path this week. After the strong performance against de Minaur, Jannik Sinner is on a run of 18 straight set wins in front of his home crowd in Turin.
And on Sunday, a dream final awaits between the world number one and the world number two.
Carlos Alcaraz, the Spaniard who has already secured the right to finish the year as number one, won the semi-final against Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime in straight sets, 6–2, 6–4.
