It is expected to be high temperatures and high humidity when Singapore's Grand Prix is decided on Sunday. Then a rule is used for the first time in Formula 1.

International Automobile Federation (Fia) began working on cooling technology after Qatar's GP competition 2023, when several drivers needed medical care after the race. Before this season, it is in the regulations.

And in Singapore, the rule will be used for the first time.

The heat means that the cars or drivers must be equipped with cooling equipment. The drivers do not need to use the cooling vest – but they cannot "save" on weight by leaving it out. Those who do not use the vest must have some cooling system equipment installed in the car, along with ballast to compensate for the vest's weight.

Singapore's GP is already a tough competition due to the heat and humidity. Previously, drivers have said that the heat made their water more like hot tea.
