The sun had set behind clouds and there was a light breeze over Solliden, but there was nothing wrong with the sing-along mood, neither Wahlgren nor the audience. The fact that it was also the summer of the World Cup left a clear mark on the "Sing-along".
On the opening night, the program featured popular singer Felicia, the music duo Hooja, former sing-along host Petra Marklund, the music and comedy group De vet du and Thomas Stenström - the man behind the official Swedish World Cup song "Leva för alltid".
Stenström also received a special greeting in a pre-recorded clip from the Swedish national football team. Petra Marklund's "Hands to Heaven", which got the crowd singing along, has also become an unofficial World Cup song in Norway.
