Newcomer Brynäs has made a success and leads SHL.
Homecomer Jakob Silfverberg is a major reason for this – the 34-year-old veteran has, after his return from NHL and Anaheim, led the team and made 20 points, 9 goals and 11 assists.
Silfverberg last played in Tre Kronor in the VM in Tammerfors 2023.
Oskar Lindblom is also back after strong performances lately. He stands on 12 points (6+6) after his return from NHL.
Lindblom last played with Tre Kronor in the VM 2019.
The squad consists of players from SHL and the Swiss league.
Tre Kronor finished last in the Karjala Tournament in November and is seeking revenge.
"I and the entire coaching staff feel a great desire for revenge this week. It's a new group we get to work with, where we get to see a lot of familiar faces but also some we haven't worked with before," says national team coach Sam Hallam in a press release.
Sweden meets Switzerland (December 12), Finland (14/12) and the Czech Republic (15/12) in the tournament in Fribourg.
