US stock indices finished strong on Tuesday, with the New York Stock Exchange seeing its best day in almost a year, according to CNBC. In Asia, the joy seems to be continuing, with substantial gains in several countries.
The major Asian stock indexes had fallen recently, but Wednesday's trading represents a recovery. The Nikkei 225 in Tokyo was up 4.0 percent before lunch and the broader Topix was up 3.8 percent at the same time.
In Seoul, South Korea, the stock market is climbing even more. The Kospi is up 6.6 percent in the middle of the trading day.
In China, the gains are somewhat more cautious. Shenzhen is up 1.3 percent and Shanghai is up 1.4 percent. Hong Kong's Hang Seng is climbing 2.2 percent.
