Sidney Crosby out at least four weeks after Olympic lower-body injury

Sidney Crosby will be out of action with NHL team the Pittsburgh Penguins for at least four weeks after suffering a lower-body injury while playing for Canada at the Olympics, the NHL announced on its website.

The 38-year-old was injured in the Olympic quarter-final against the Czech Republic a week ago, and the team captain then missed both Friday's semi-final against Finland and Sunday's final against the United States.

Canada lost the Olympic final to the United States, 1–2.

Pittsburgh restarts in the NHL at home against New Jersey on Friday night local time in Sweden.
