The shots were fired at the apartment's balcony, the police wrote on their website. None of the people in the apartment were reported to have been injured.
The case is being investigated as attempted murder and aggravated weapons offence.
Interviews will be held during the day and the investigation continues, says police spokesperson Susanna Rinaldo.
