A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after an apartment in the Backa district of Gothenburg was shot at late on Monday evening.
A woman in her 60s was in the apartment during the shooting but was not physically injured.
The police have launched a preliminary investigation into attempted murder.
When we arrived at the scene, we could establish that several shots had been fired at the woman's window. We have cordoned off the area and are conducting a technical investigation, says Göran Carlbom.
The alarm came in just after 22.30 after several witnesses heard what could be perceived as gunfire.
It is highly unclear why this particular address was targeted, but it is something we will investigate during the day, says Göran Carlbom, duty officer at the police.
