A visitor to a shopping center in Lessebo fell about two meters down a hole and was injured. The accident occurred on Wednesday near an escalator that was being repaired, reports P4 Kronoberg.
During the repair work, the area around the escalator had been opened up, but proper barriers around the hole were lacking – they were set up only after the accident, according to the police report.
The person who fell broke their arm and received abrasions. The incident is being investigated as bodily harm.
