The police were alerted on Tuesday evening about a suspected shooting in Skarpnäck in southern Stockholm, but no one with gunshot wounds has been found.
Right now, we believe it's about an airgun, said the police's press spokesperson Mats Eriksson after the police started searching for a perpetrator in the area.
The police were first alerted at 19.30 about a person with a firearm, and then that the person was said to have a weapon, before the alarm about the shooting came in a few minutes later.
Just before 8 pm, the police updated their website with the information that no one had been found shot. Instead, one person has been hit with a firearm and a preliminary investigation into assault has been initiated.
