The police were alerted to the incident just after midnight. At lunchtime on Friday, the police announced that a man has been arrested in the case. They make no comments about his age.
We are still working on gathering information and have several theories at present, says the police's press spokesperson Anna Westberg.
Witnesses have seen more than one person running from the scene, according to the police.
We do not rule out more perpetrators at least, says Westberg.
The man in his 30s worked as a security guard at a nightclub when he was shot. He was not considered to be life-threateningly injured, but the police have no further information about his condition.
The incident is being investigated as attempted murder, serious weapons offense and endangering others.
Interrogations have been held with people who may have seen something and surveillance cameras in the area have been checked.
