One person is shot and transported by ambulance to the hospital, says Niklas Berglund, duty officer at the police.
The man is not considered to be life-threateningly injured. The police were alerted to the incident just after midnight, and it is being investigated as an attempted murder, serious weapons offense and endangering the safety of others.
People were near the scene when the shooting took place. Interviews have been held with people who may have noticed something, surveillance cameras have been checked and forensic technicians have been on the scene. Among other things, a helicopter was involved in the police operation.
The police do not want to comment on whether there is any suspect or detained person.
Now it has transitioned into an investigative phase where one follows up on the interviews and the material collected earlier in the night and processes it and sees if it leads us further in the pursuit of the perpetrator, says Berglund at 04.30.
