A serious violent crime has been perpetrated and we are receiving calls from the public who claim to have heard bangs in connection with this, says the police's press spokesperson Stefan Larsson to TT.
One person has been taken with serious injuries. The police state that the person has injuries indicating gunfire and that one person has been arrested.
The person was arrested some time after the incident, says Stefan Larsson to UNT.
The healthcare alarm center in Uppsala initially reported to UNT that two people had been taken to hospital by ambulance. Those reports were later withdrawn.
According to images from the scene, it appears that an area adjacent to a restaurant in the Boländerna area has been cordoned off.
According to the police, they are on site with a large number of resources.
