The elderly man is suspected of shooting an employee at a pension authority in central Athens. He then went to a courthouse and opened fire, slightly injuring three women.
The man, who was said to have suffered from mental health problems, reportedly threw wads of paper and envelopes inside the courthouse during the shooting. According to media reports, he was complaining about pension payments.
He was arrested about 200 kilometers outside the capital.
