Premier League leaders Arsenal have played two cup matches in quick succession.

First they faced Manchester City in the League Cup final just under two weeks ago, and now in the FA Cup quarter-final they were away against Championship team Southampton.

Viktor Gyökeres, who led Sweden to the World Cup earlier this week, had to start on the bench.

But trailing 0–1, Gyökeres was substituted in the 60th minute and needed only eight minutes to equalize to 1–1.

Arsenal went for a winning goal - then things turned around and the home team's Shea Charles was able to score to make it 2-1 in the 85th minute.

And the scare was real.

In addition to the Premier League title hunt, Arsenal remain in the Champions League, where the quarter-finals against Gyökeres's former club Sporting Lisbon await on Tuesday.
