"Wallmark is a long-awaited returnee who steps in as a key player in our team-building. With his experience, drive and strong connection to the club, Lucas will be a central part of our establishment phase," says sports director Per Kenttä to the club's website.
Wallmark became a champion with Fribourg-Gotteron last week after scoring the golden goal for Roger Rönnberg's team, which won its first championship in club history.
Lucas Wallmark has played 187 NHL games, representing Carolina, Florida and Chicago. He last played in the SHL in the 2015–16 season, for Luleå.
Wallmark has played at the Olympic Games and the World Cup with Tre Kronor.
Björklöven is returning to the SHL after 25 years in the lower divisions.
